Arrival Day 1:

Collection in Nairobi by our pilot and his Cessna 206 on the morning of your choice.

Fly to Musoma where you will clear customs into Tanzania.
from there you would fly down to Katavi National Park, the 4th biggest park in the country but barely visited by tourists, only 2000 visitors came to Katavi last year, due to its remoteness, it is wild and amazingly abundant with game. Famous for its hippos and crocs and very large herds of Buffalo and elephant.

 

Days 1-3 (3 nights):

Three wonderful nights in Katavi Wildlife camp, a rustic but extremely comfortable camp on the edge of the Chada plains and marshlands, which are teeming with game. The camp has views as far as the eye can see, with animals lazing in the sun or drinking at the water holes. Spend a full day in the bush with lunch and cold drinks, or lunch in camp, depending on the order of the day. Evenings restfully spent around a roaring fire, followed by dinner and bed in a luxury en suite tent. Rarely visited by tourists, Katavi National Park is a fantastic haven for spotting animals whilst alone and undisturbed.

Days 4-5 (2 nights):

From there your pilot and plane would fly you to Mahale mountains in the northern part of Lake Tanganyika for 2 nights to enjoy the chimp trekking in the mountains.
You will arrive at Mahale airstrip then transfer by boat (about 90 mins) to Kungwe Beach Lodge, situated on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, a lovely camp right on the beach.

Days 6-9 (4 nights):

On the 6th day, your pilot and plane will take you to Lupita for 4 nights on this 110 acres island, just 5km offshore. Landing on their private airstrip on the mainland it is just a 10 minute drive to their jetty and a 10 minute boat drive to the island.

Lupita island is totally private, the lodge and its staff and guests are the only people inhabiting the island. A place of rare beauty and tranquility. 10 fabulous cottages dispersed around the island, each with its own magnificent view.
Lupita has been able to secure a marine conservation area between themselves and the next island. The snorkeling and the cichlids are second to none. Some of the rarest cichlids in the world live in this bay. Buffet lunch on the beach while you snorkel around the rocks. Sunset cruise with drinks and canapes. Visit a derelict monastery with a great history. And all of this while not seeing one other tourist. A rare and remote paradise. Some wonderful activities are available or just relax by your private pool and enjoy the ambience.

Overnight Lupita Island Resort (4 nights)

Day 10:

From Lupita you will fly with your pilot and plane back to Nairobi via Kilimanjaro airport for the end of your trip and your onward journey.

• Tips, we recommend $12 to $20 USD per guest per day, of course depending on the quality of the service you receive

·       Balance to be paid 60 days or more prior to arrival.

·       60 days or more notice: forfeit deposit only

·       Less than 60 days’ notice: forfeit deposit + 30%

·       Less than 30 days’ notice: forfeit deposit + 100%
